I'd probably say NP. Though dunno what engine you'd throw in to make it competitive enough without throwing off the entire car.

Well you could pull the usual lemons BS and say you paid $1 for the car and the $5k was for safety gear and then whatever motor you could afford for $499.
Or just say screw it and toss in an LS7 and a T56.

That's my friend Wally! We drove a 3 hour kart enduro together (finished second). He races an E36 now. Heck of a nice guy and a great driver. I'm sure that car would be a blast. Most of these BMW club racing guys want to do their own engines anyway so the roller status won't be a disincentive. Comes well sorted otherwise and with three sets of wheels. Totally non-biased NP, especially because I know it could be had for less!
